In this week's Info Exchange:

Mahi Tika - Equity in Employment on the road

DPA’s Mahi Tika – Equity in Employment team is hitting the road next month, visiting towns and cities across the Waikato region to meet with disabled people who are seeking employment.

Are you or your whaanau living in the Waikato region and looking for work? Be sure to fill out our expression of interest form so we can get in touch about meeting with you.

Mahi Tika - Equity in Employment is an employment programme designed to empower disabled people in the Waikato region to be working or training in the industry of their choice and also supports them to become mentors to other disabled people.

Disabled people who take part in this programme will participate in workshops that are modelled on their own specific needs, attend networking events with industry partners, and become part of a community of job seekers.

We will also be meeting with industry partners across the Waikato region to promote inclusive workplaces and explore future employment opportunities. If your Waikato business values diversity in the workplace, be sure to get in touch!

You can find out more at www.MahiTika.org.nz or by emailing MahiTika@DPA.org.nz.
