Chocks away - helicopters get busy for moorland conservation
This is another busy year for Moors for the Future Partnership’s conservation activities. With the building of over 6,000 dams and the spreading of over 3,500 bags of heather brash across the Peak District and South Pennine moors, these heavy materials need to be transported to remote moorland locations and the Partnership is working with contractors to ensure we can continue to carry out restoration works despite the challenges of a second lockdown.

Celebrating our volunteers
There are many activities, including our annual dipwell campaign, running at the moment, for which we're indebted to the efforts of our hardy and devoted volunteers. Unfortunately, we are unable to recruit any more volunteers at present as opportunities are limited due to the Covid-19 situation. Instead we wanted to celebrate the incredible work that our team of intrepid volunteers continues to make possible, by running a series of profiles of these dedicated individuals.
