Thank you for your support over this past half term.
We are thrilled that we have been able to open and operate the school without too much disruption.
Over the course of this week, you will have received emails from us regarding our Online Learning Platform for all members of school. We hope not to have to take recourse to this method of teaching, but feel it is better to be prepared.
You will also receive information on our Parent/Teacher meeting arrangements which will take place via Teams during the week commencing 9th November.
Please do take the time to read all this information carefully and contact us – support@loreto.gi – if you encounter any problems.
We wish you a very happy and restful Autumn break and look forward to seeing everyone on 2nd November.
With best wishes,
Louise Napoli

Parent's Weekly Focus This week's online safety focus for parents is looking at our younger children, and how we can keep under five year olds safe online. We have all seen it, a young child with a device, playing a game to help them learn whilst keeping them occupied. Here are some tips to help keep them safe online!
Sport News Foundation Stage 2 have been exploring different balls in P.E. They’ve been learning about the different shapes and sizes, as well as how much they bounce. These exploration games will help them track a variety of balls and will aid their development in all sports at a later stage.
#Traffic Free Tuesdays Our children are now joining forces, walking from both the North and South districts to school. Leave your vehicle at home for just one day and walk to school with your child, you can even walk back at the end of the school day!
Year 2 Class 2M have been learning about the artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo. One of his paintings is a bowl of fruit and when turned upside down, a portrait. Here are some of our examples.
Class 2W continued their London's Burning work by writing songs. The pupils had to count syllables to make it work. Can you sing our song? Give it a try.
Library Update
Our Library Prefects - Nico and Victoria have already been busy with the following awards:
A Sustainable Thank you! The members of our sustainable school committee made a card to say thank you to Professor Tilbury for the generous donation of sustainability books for the school Library. On Facebook, Professor Tilbury commented "I received a truly gorgeous ‘thank you’ card from Loreto Convent School #Gibraltar . Each flap lifts to reveal a special message from pupils and teachers - it’s gorgeous!
Thank you for taking the time to craft this stunning card. I look forward to learning more about your sustainability work."
Construction Crazy! Nursery 2 building with Duplo. Building with any bricks helps fine motor skill, coordination and self expression.
Gold Book The 'star of the week' children were presented with their gold pencils and certificates. Let's see who is in next weeks gold book!
Autumn has well and truly arrived in FS2! Over the past few weeks we have made autumn animals, learned poems and even made a warm and cosy habitat for hibernating creatures.
GBC Open Day Something is going on at Loreto Convent this week to support the GBC Open Day appeal. Can you work out what it could be?
