The Harbor School Houston assists at-risk children and families navigate toward a strong future by providing high quality early childhood education in a Christian environment.

We Are Licensed!!

We are excited to announce that The Harbor School has received its childcare license, and we are now enrolling students! A big thanks goes out to our Director, Lorie Janish, and our Board of Directors for all of their hard work in reaching this goal!

We have also been approved as a vendor for the Texas Workforce Commission's Childcare Subsidy program, which will allow us to better serve at-risk families in our community. We are now actively recruiting students, ages 2 to 5, for enrollment in our program. If you know anyone who might be interested in becoming a part of the Harbor School family, please send them our enrollment flyer attached at the bottom of this email. Please also join us in prayer over the families we can bless through our program and the teachers who will carry out our mission!

We are still hoping to open in Fall 2020 and are working hard to meet that goal. For the safety of our future students and teachers, we are planning based on the ongoing Covid-19 regulations, and we will continue to monitor and adjust as needed.

Fall Fundraiser on November 13!

Please join us for The Harbor School's 2020 Fall Fundraiser and Open House on Friday, November 13, 2020! You will have the opportunity to tour the school, meet our director and several board members, and write a note of encouragement to our future students and teachers. The cost of the event is $25/person, which will assist us in hiring teachers and preparing to open the school. You will also leave with a delicious grab'n'go lunch from The Honeybaked Ham Store!

With the safety of our guests in mind, we will be staggering the tours in 30-minute increments, limiting each tour group to 10 people and asking attendees to socially distance at the event. We also ask everyone who is able to please wear a mask.

Meet Our President - Justin Hayes

Justin Hayes is the current President and Chairman of The Harbor School Board. He received his MBA at Rice University, a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering at Colorado School of Mines, and has been involved in nonprofit early education since 2015. Justin is currently the Director of Reservoir Engineering and Analytics at Bedrock Energy Partners, a private equity-backed E&P company.
