Dear Friends,

Today is Giving Tuesday, our only fundraising campaign this year and a day when your donations will be doubled.
We are fortunate to have a $6,000 matching grant from Fitzgerald Auto Malls and another $4,000 matching grant from Pioneer Realty, Daro Management, and other anonymous donors. We are also entering anyone who donates $100 or more in a raffle for a free one-hour online private lesson or an online class.

Here's how you can help:
  1. Please donate at http://bit.ly/2EZuTxE.
  2. Please also check  https://doublethedonation.com/tips/giving-tuesday/ to see if your employer will match your donation and to get the forms you need.
  3. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram today.
  4. Encourage your friends and family to support Your Dog's Friend too.
Below are just a few of the comments we received showing why Your Dog's Friend matters, especially during the pandemic, in ways that you ... and we ... probably never expected.

"I honestly feel that the work we have done in a handful of paid and unpaid classes has made a huge change in my dog…He is a lot less anxious and more comfortable and confident…I sincerely thank you all for stretching your comfort zone and holding online classes. It made a big difference in Sammy's and my life.

"I am so grateful to you all for the wealth of resources and training opportunities for the real life issues in rehabilitating rescues...Having a loving yet challenging dog can be very taxing mentally, emotionally and financially. If there is a silver lining to the horror of this world crisis, one is that I have the opportunity remotely to participate in the YDF Webinar sessions and online classes."

"Our highly-reactive Great Dane is...choosing to look at me instead of focusing on dogs....Originally, she had a reactive episode every single time my neighbor's dog came out. However, after lots of positive reinforcement and practice, she now watches Misty through the window quietly, turns and walks away from the window instead of staring, and has even twice hung out on the porch quietly while Misty ran around in her yard. Yes!"

"Adopting a puppy was easy; coming up with a plan for training during a global pandemic was not. I came across Your Dog’s Friend through my searches, and from the first few things I found on their site, I knew I had found a great resource. None of their advice sounded gimmicky or “too good to be true. The online/remote puppy kindergarten class I took was something I looked forward to every week. It was so structured, yet so fun, and my puppy and I learned so much."

"This article was SO HELPFUL! I feel like I understand my dog much better now, and I feel a lot less bad about her not being great with other dogs, especially as she has gotten older. So glad to know that’s normal and I’m not crazy for asking others to keep their dogs at a distance while on leash!"

"...we’re so grateful to this organization, and it’s made a world of difference in Suri’s engagement with the world. She was such a terrified little pup when we got her and seeing her happy and excited
at these puppy parties fills us with overwhelming joy."

"I just wanted to say thank you for offering the TTouch online course. This was a fantastic experience for Bo and me. Bo highly enjoyed the touch and wraps...He has had a severe fear of getting into the car. The instructor reframed my thinking and leveraged what he already enjoys to build enough confidence to get into the car. We're now doing TTouch daily and continuing to make progress...I feel this has been one of the most effective and beneficial classes that my dog has equally enjoyed."

" I wasn't sure what to expect from the video format, but it was great - very organized and personalized. The class was probably the highlight of our week, since it also enabled us to do something together as a family."

Though we are experienced dog parents, we found the training ‘at both ends of the leash’ to be beneficial for our family - two pawed and four pawed. We learned how to make training a fun form of enrichment, and our very energetic boy, Murphy, thinks it’s ‘play’ to learn new things...Without the skills we learned in class and the resources compiled on the YDF website, we might not be able to handle our four very energetic Bostons."

"All of the YDF people that we have been in touch with have been super helpful. Our instructor and all of the folks at YDF can read, speak, think and predict dog ;) Highly recommend their puppy training classes online, their really informative free webinars and the puppy parties. We are always looking forward to their next offerings."

Please be our champion. Help us continue to support dog parents and their pups, so that fewer dogs are given up to shelters.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Sincerely,
Your Dog's Friend
