When Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson famously warned mammas to not let their babies grow up to be cowboys, they probably didn't anticipate this modern cowboy from Oregon. Robert Borba had taken his horse to the local Walmart to buy dog food when he detained a thief - with a lasso - who'd stolen a fellow customer's bicycle.

When Borba was asked about what prompted him to take swift action, he said, “I just figured it was the right thing to do, you know?”A friend recently sent me the video, and it got me thinking about how leaders should model codes of behavior.
