The FOOD to 877-877 texting hotline and other tools for finding free meals for kids near you are coming back online for Fall 2020. Find more information at the No Kid Hungry NC website.
Queso for A Cause at Moe's
During the month of October, all 18 Moe's restaurants in the Triangle are donating $1 from every cup of queso sold to Carolina Hunger Initiative. Triangle Moe’s restaurants have made a goal of donating $10,000. Once that goal is met, Moe’s will donate 10,000 additional kids’ meals to support local communities. Moe's also partnered with CHI this summer to provide 1,000 meals to kids through school meal sites in the Triangle.
Mornings with Morgan Podcast
Tamara Baker (Project and Communications Director, CHI) joined Morgan Wittman Gramann (Executive Director, North Carolina Alliance for Health) this week for the "Mornings with Morgan" podcast.
