2021 Stewardship
Our appeal goal is $32,000 in increased giving to enable us to equip the saints for the work of ministry, both in our Congregation and worldwide:
  • $15,000 ($288/week) in additional giving will enable us to improve on-line outreach, use of social media, and welcome people we would not otherwise reach
  • $8,000 ($154/week) in additional gifts will continue our commitment to increasing our giving to the greater Church as well as local and global ministries
  • $9,000 ($173/week) in increased generosity will help continue what we have already begun in our ministry and care for our excellent and professional staff
Mark your calendars…

14/15 November – Temple Talk (Benevolence, Global Mission, and Current Operations Initiative

St. Luke Audio-Visual Team

A St. Luke AV team has been formed with the purpose of enhancing our congregation's worship through sight and sound - whether our congregation is at home streaming our worship or in person at our sanctuary.

We will be studying how to improve our present AV system (through the hiring of a consultant) and developing a future AV vision as we consider factors like our church's mission, future growth, and worship styles.

Stay tuned for more information!

St Luke Radiant In-Person Worship
Volunteer Opportunity

If coming to an in-person service is more comfortable for you now, perhaps you would like to be part of the worship team as an usher. The usual duties include setting up the bulletin table,  greeting and directing attendees to the bulletins (and communion cups on specified weekends), and keeping a record of attendance (for potential COVID tracing).  If you are interested, please contact the church office at 299-2621 or at stluke@thuntek.net and a representative from the Worship, Music & the Arts Committee will contact you to talk about scheduling.  Helpers are needed for both Saturday and Sunday services, so pick the service you prefer to attend. We look forward to seeing you in person.
The Sunday 8:15 AM Worship Service
Recently, many of you have asked if/when the Sunday 8:15 a.m. service will return.  Rest assured, there is no intent to eliminate this important Service.  However, as of now, there are two things contributing to our decision to hold off on bringing back this Service:  1) We sanitize the sanctuary prior to each Service on Saturday and Sunday.  This is to assure that we begin each Service with a sanitized worship space.  If we were to bring back the 8:15 service that would require a sanitization between services which is not feasible at this time.  2) We have a very limited number of volunteers that are needed to prepare for, assist in conducting, and close up following services.  Bringing back the 8:15 Service at this time would place a significant burden on the volunteers we do have and so we have elected not to do that at this time.  When we can address these two areas or conditions are such that they are no longer required, we will recommend to the Council that we bring back the 8:15 service.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Peace and Blessings from your Worship, Music, and the Arts Team
