Hello St. Louis Gamecocks,
What a game last week at Auburn! I thought it was a bit suspect when the College Gameday panel gave us the unanimous nod to win the game, but then… we actually won! I know many of us were looking for good news like that.
In the spirit of good news, I have an exciting announcement! After we had such a great showing for the first game of our season, the leadership of Schlafly took notice. They have added the SEC Network to their television package at our suggestion, so that when it gets too cold to watch the games outside, we have a place to sprawl out and watch in an indoor environment. Also, the CEO of Schlafly, Fran Caradonna, is in fact a UofSC alumnus. Therefore, after seeing their commitment to our group and the South Carolina tie, I felt I should let you all know about it. Going forward, the Tap Room will be listed as the game day watch party location. However, feel free to support them on your own as they have supported us.
Another major game of interest from the survey I sent out was the Missouri vs. South Carolina game. The team is currently building out the next event with Schlafly, so mark your calendars! Rain, shine, or snow, we will have a gamecock-friendly environment to watch the game. So be on the lookout for another RSVP when the details of the game are released.
