It was part of Jesus mission to bind up the brokenhearted, to comfort all who mourn, to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.

After some years of preparation by the EUD Health Ministries Team, including discussions with the fields and the contribution of several medical professionals, the “WeCare” initiative is finally born!
WeCare is a multi-faceted project to help the members being “Inspired, Empowered, Equipped to Care”.
Why do we need to care?
Because Europe as the rest of the world is being shaken by difficult circumstances that have increased the amount of suffering around us. Because people need today what they have always needed: a manifestation of God’s love and care.
How will WeCare benefit our Church?
WeCare is an invitation to re-think about what we want to be as a Church, especially in a time like this. Learning to care and enhanced caring in the churches will help to improve the well-being, spiritual walk and capacities for outreach of our members. Being more educated about people’s real needs will make us more relevant. People do not care much about what we know until they know how much we care.
Besides a Campaign, WeCare trainings will be offered - online or onsite - in partnership with local entities, to individuals, groups and churches:
- To those looking forward to meaningfully help to their friends, relatives or neighbors in time of crisis
- To members already engaged in some lines of ministry to have a more evidence-based and wholistic approach to care
- For pastors to be equipped to deal with members whose mental health and lives have come out of balance
- For young people to grow in the knowledge of their own physical, mental, social and emotional health and to be able to offer some support to their peers at school, university or work
- For churches who want to become caring places for the community.
