🌳 Community Tree Planting 🌳
Wednesday, October 28 at 11:30 a.m. • Susan B. Anthony Bowl on the River Campus
The Green Reps Program is gathering a group of students, staff, and faculty to demonstrate that even though many of us are physically distanced from the University at this time, sustainability lives and grows on our campuses.
The University’s arboretum and grounds have been recognized by the Arbor Day Foundation with a Tree Campus USA Institution designation for the 10th straight year. Our campuses include more than 1,400 trees of 116 different species.
- For the event, masks are required 😷 Gloves and hand sanitizer will be provided. To follow COVID-19 precautions, we’ll be capping participation at 16 people.
This event is free and open to all members of the University community.
We’ll meet outside in the bowl in front of the Susan B. Anthony Halls on the River Campus to plant trees and hear the University’s manager of horticulture and grounds, John McIntyre, talk about the diversity of trees on campus. Driving to the River Campus for this event? Please see the River Campus Visitor Guide for parking information.
RSVP by Friday, October 23. Spots will fill up fast!
