TONIGHT, HELP SAN FRANCISCO COUNT. 

 

The current administration has decided to end counting early, even though many of our community members haven’t yet been able to participate.

Join San Francisco's Office of Civic Engagement & Immigrant Affairs (OCEIA) for a last push TONIGHT from 5-7pm to increase the 2020 Census response rate in the city's most undercounted neighborhoods. San Francisco is one of the Census’ hardest-to-count counties nationwide, due to its substantial population of homeless, immigrants, low-income residents, young children, and renters.
 
This is our last chance to make sure that all S.F. residents get counted in the Census, so they can bring $20,000 per person to their neighborhood for vital services, including those for COVID-19 recovery—and to ensure their voting power, equal representation in government, and fair redistricting for the next ten years.
 
OCEIA will use CallHub, an online platform and dialing system, so this opportunity is best suited for those who feel comfortable getting familiar quickly with a web-based system they haven’t used before. CallHub allows us to reach residents efficiently, provides the option to connect residents directly with the Census Bureau phone line to do the 2020 Census on the spot, and also masks the caller’s phone number for privacy purposes.

You will need: a computer (laptop or desktop), a reliable internet connection, and headphones / earbuds for your computer (or for your mobile phone, which is optional). After a brief training on CallHub, we will do about an hour and a half of phone banking.
