Please guide our global collective awareness toward oneness, wholeness, alignment, openness, truth, trust, honesty and Heaven's higher frequencies. May this year be filled with New Year's gifts that embody and enact a universal goodwill message of unity, love, hope, harmony, and peace for people of all faiths, Nature, Mother Earth, the Universe, and for all future generations. God bless us all with Divine elements of holiness to light our faith and shine love, life, joy, glory.

Remembering Our Journey through The High Holy Days and the Holidays of Sukkot and Simchas Torah
|
|
*The gifts of the Month of Elul
|
|
Our nation's journey to and through the High Holy Days starts with Elul, which is one of the most elevated months in the Jewish calendar, well known in our tribe as a time when God is most present and accessible to us all. The month of Elul is a gateway, opening to a very meaningful Sacred time in the cosmic yearly cycle and in Jewish spirituality. Elul marks a time of repentance to prepare for seeking forgiveness, a time for our spirits' longing to unite with the Divine Source and crystallize our best intentions for the New Year.
The shofar blasts along with prayers for forgiveness and ancient spiritual rituals awaken us to begin the soul searching as we draw closer to God in preparation for the coming Day of Judgement, Rosh Hashanah - the Jewish New Year, and the Day of Atonement, the Holiest day in Judaism, Yom Kippur. The very elevated quantum cosmic energies, along with our efforts, help humankind come back into harmonious relationships with the Divine Source of Oneness, within ourselves, and with our families, friends, and communities.
During Elul we experience a time of awakening to our day-to-day actions, thoughts, and intentions in order to ask and grant forgiveness with others and seek mercy from God.
This cycle, which originated thousands of years ago, involves the spiritual work of renewal, growth, contrition, and purification for the coming New Year. As individuals, as a tribe, and as a nation, we are guided by moral and universal core values as codified in the Ten Commandments.
Elul is a time of spiritual preparation for entering the New Year for each one of us and as a whole, as one united tribe--the tribe of Yisrael. Entering the gates of the High Holy Days and the New Year activates our will and empowers us to connect, embody, and align to higher life frequencies of peace, love, joyfulness, healing, unity and hope. We then strive to share these Divine gifts with all the generations of our families, our communities, our world, and our Cosmos.

The Blessinngs of Rosh Hashanah
|
|
Rosh Hashanah holds the magic that blesses our YEAR with NEW renewal energies that inspire us to spiritual growth, elevate our faith in God, and shine love and holiness within our hearts, with each other, and into our world as a greeting for the New Year.
The Jewish New Year has always had a tremendous impact on the rest of the year. It is a day of prayer, a time to ask our Lord to grant us a good year of peace, prosperity and blessing. Because Rosh Hashanah celebrates the Jewish New Year, we greet each other with wishes for a sweet good year. The standard Hebrew blessing is "Leshanah tovah tikatev vetichatem," which translates to English as, "May you be inscribed and sealed for a good year." This greeting contains a prayer which asks that we be written and sealed in the Book of Life for a good, blessed year.
Rosh Hashanah commemorates the Biblical creation of the universe and marks the beginning of the Days of Awe, a ten-day period of introspection and repentance that culminates in the Yom Kippur holiday, also known as the Day of Atonement.
The High Holy Days are known for their religious rituals, commandments, and prayers which access and integrate sacred energies into our bodies, beings, spirits and souls for purifying and strengthening our faith. These observances activate our will to serve God, bond and unify our tribal alliance, facilitate thankfulness, and inspire us to connect with the Divine Source of Heaven that we all have shared since ancient times.

Yom Kippur
|
|
Yom Kippur is the holiest day of the year for the people of Yisrael. Its central theme is atonement for our sins and deep repentance. Known as the "Day of Atonement," Yom Kippur is celebrated on the 10th of the Month of Tishrei, ten days after Rosh Hashanah, which marks the first day of the Hebrew New Year. Yom Kippur is called the Sabbath of Sabbaths, a day which calls upon each of us to examine our lives. It is believed that the fate of each person is sealed for the upcoming year on Yom Kippur.
Yom Kippur is a gateway to Heavens, opening to a very significant time in the yearly cycle and in Jewish spirituality. It marks a time of repentance and reconciliation with ourselves, others, and God by participating in a day-long fast and intensive prayer at synagogue services.
Yom Kippur prayers are known for accessing and integrating Sacred energies in our bodies, beings, spirits and souls for cleansing our sins and wrongdoings.
We greet this High Holy Day by wearing white clothing to reflect qualities of purification, cleansing, and unity. On Yom Kippur, we rise above our physical needs and our bodies' pleasures in order to awaken. We fast for a day, refraining from eating and drinking, and instead focus on praying and returning to our pure spiritual essence.
The core of this High Holy Day is forgiveness and repentance. The purpose of community confession, regretting our past actions, and repenting for our sins is to be at peace with our own souls, in harmony with a higher Divine power, and at One with God.
Yom Kippur includes the fundamentals of reckoning and
soul-searching, remorse, confessions, penitence, and asking forgiveness from one another. We strive to strengthen our willingness and desire to live more holy lives, purify ourselves, go beyond our bodies' suffering, and be closer to God. We do this by praying, fasting, giving charity, and doing goodwill acts which are all part of healing our souls and healing our world.
אָבִינוּ מַלְכֵּנוּ כָּתְבֵנוּ בְּסֵפֶר סְלִיחָה וּמְחִילָה
Our Father, our King, inscribe us in the book of forgiveness and mercy.

The Blessings of Joy, Majesty, and Thankfulness
Sukkot
|
|
Sukkot takes us back thousands of years ago, to the days of the Twelve Tribes, to the Kingdom of Judah, to the Holy City of Jerusalem, to the time when the last harvest of the year was being collected in the Land of Eretz Yisrael, and to our own eternal covenant with God.
For generations, the ancient tribes of Yisrael would make a pilgrimage to the Temple in Jerusalem, as commanded by the Torah. During the holiday of Sukkot, people from all over Israel joined together to joyfully celebrate the harvest, give thanks to Mother Earth, and worship God as our Lord.
Sukkot is one of the Three Pilgrimage Festivals, which are three major holidays in Judaism and Jewish spirituality—Pesach (Passover), Shavuot (Weeks or Pentecost), and Sukkot (Tabernacles, Tents or Booths).
On Sukkot, harvest was brought to the Temple to worship and give thanks to God in a celebration of praying, singing, dancing, and rejoicing. Sukkot symbolizes our will to strengthen the covenant between the Shekinah and Earth, the Children of Israel with the Holy Land of Israel, between the people of Yisrael with each other, and to our faith and Lord.
During Sukkot, which is a Biblical Jewish holiday, we are commanded to build a Sukkah, which is a fragile shelter like the ones the Israelites dwelled in during their 40 years of wandering in the desert. This activity helps remind us of the journey of our people from slavery in Egypt and our time in the desert wilderness. There our nation was forged and we all became a community of faith, following the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to the Promised Land.
On Sukkot, it is a Mitzvah to awaken our joy in order to worship life, fellowship, and God. In a seven day festival, we are ordered to celebrate and nurture qualities of majesty, luxury, and comfort. The Sukkah should be comfortable, cozy, and have a homey feeling. It should be filled with many beautiful decorations to celebrate the elements of royalty, luxury, and abundance in our lives.
These essences embody the Divine magic that feeds our souls, elevates our spirits, and fills our hearts with elements of faith, wholeness, hope, and harmony. ♥

The Blessings of Rejoicing on Simchat Torah
|
|
Simchat Torah takes us back to a Babylonian custom--to the place in time where the Torah reading was divided into 54 parashot. This very special moment in the year celebrates and marks the conclusion of the annual cycle of public Torah readings, and the beginning of a new cycle by reading the first Parsha of the book of Genesis immediately afterward.
Year after year for generations, the last Parasha of the yearly Torah reading "V'Zot HaBerachah," which means "and this is the blessing," was read by the people who joined together to joyfully celebrate the conclusion of the yearly Torah portion reading in synagogues all over the world. This big festive holy celebration of Simchat Torah means
"Rejoicing of the Torah."
On Simchat Torah, in synagogues all over the world, the Torah scrolls are taken out from the ark and given to members of the congregation to hold. Then people march around the synagogue and everyone kisses the Torah scrolls as they pass. This ceremony is known as Hakafot, with seven Hakafot in total. In a celebration of dancing, singing, and rejoicing, we give thanks to our blessed Torah given by God to the People of Yisrael.
Simchat Torah symbolizes our will to strengthen the covenant between the people and Torah, the Children of Israel with the Ten Commandments, and to our holy covenant of faith and God on Mount Sinai.
On this holy day we awaken our joy in order to worship the Divine Source that feeds our souls, revitalizes our spirits, lights our lives with glowing Sacred grace frequencies, and fills our hearts with elements of love, faith, wholeness, hope, and Holiness. ♥
