A short update
2020 hasn't been the year that we were expecting has it?
As most of you will be aware I (Andy) suddenly lost my mum in July and this was devastating to the whole family.
Learning to navigate through this time of Covid and losing my mum has certainly been a challenge (and continues to be) at times. One thing that I've realised more is that God is still God and He is who He says He is. He walks with us through it all.
Thank you for your continuing encouragement and support during this time. It has been hugely appreciated.
Raise Online
During lockdown I spent a lot of time doing video editing and honing those skills to do online content for the kids work for Hope Community Church.
With the £1000 we were awarded at the end of 2019 we were able to purchase some equipment (camera, lights, mic, green screen) to help with having to be online.
In recent months I've helped another church with some intro sessions for their online Sunday kids work.
At the moment we're looking at Building Blocks for Christian Living - covering things like reading the Bible, prayer, being a good friend, love and more. Here's a link to the most recent one... https://youtu.be/0D9NngHmm5g
Please let me know if you'd like to consider them for your church.
New Project
I've also been thinking through a new project idea for a while now and am looking to make this a target for 2021. You may know of the popularity of Escape Rooms where you have an hour to get out of a room full of puzzles.
The new project would be a Christian themed portable Escape Room that helps children engage with a Christian theme and story and have a memorable immersive experience aiding their learning. The idea is that once established it can offer a variety of themes and even look at mental health and wellbeing as part of the learning experience.
To make this happen we're looking to raise funds to make it the best we can...... During lockdown I've been doing a lot of running and I made the decision to run a marathon. (despite originally saying that I would never run!) The date has come around quickly as on 1st November I will be taking part in the Medal Chaser in Stowmarket where I have 6 hours to run as many 5K circuits as I can.
