I (Pr Pablo) recently read a post written by a colleague from an Adventist Church in the US and an outbreak of COVID-19 in their church congregation. It’s was a sombre reminder we need to persevere as a church and keep on doing what we’re doing.
Let’s keep on loving each other and supporting those in need. Please keep on supporting and praying for our leadership team, our elderly, children, youth, families and Pastor Nick and Sarah—with baby Sienna.
Please keep on supporting our production team as they prepare the online services every Monday.
Our church family has many needs, and we ask that you keep the following members in your daily prayers for healing and help.
- We want to praise God for the safe arrival of Nick & Sarah Kross's baby, Sienna, on 6 October. They are now home and we ask that you continue to remember them as they settle in with Baby Sienna. Here are some photos:

- Year 12 students as they study for and sit their HSC exams
Please continue to keep our Year 12s in your prayers. Their HSC exams start on
20 October, and after such a difficult year, the support of their church family is invaluable. Let them know you're thinking of them with messages, notes or cards, not forgetting their families who have supported them through it all.
Our Year 12 students are:
Ryan, Ky, Matthew, Damian, Olivia, Sarah, D'Artanien, Micayla, Andrew, Declan and Ines. If you know others, please add them to your list.
- Neroli Hills, Declan & Luna as they grieve the loss of Neroli's dad, Des Hills. His funeral was on Wednesday
- Eric White ongoing treatment and health
- Colleen White's recovery after surgery
- Bob & Margaret Smith - Bob's ongoing treatment and health

- Bill & Heather Webster - ongoing ill health status
- Sharon Jones and her rehabilitation, praise for her progress
- Sarah Boccoletti's - praise for her recovery after life-saving surgery
- Our church's production team as they record our services each Monday. It's a huge commitment - we truly appreciate their dedication and talents
- Our medical and front-line personnel who are under such strain
- Our volunteers and firies as they begin preparing for another fire season
- Baby Imogen Rea, as well as her parents, sisters and extended family - they all need support as they fight Imogen's cancer.

Baby Imogen was born with brain cancer, congenital Glioblastoma Multiforme Grade 4. Her parents, Brad and Christie Rea (pictured above in the hospital chapel) ask for us to please continue to pray for Imogen -

- That the chemotherapy successfully all cancer in her.
- That Imogen is totally cured of cancer.
- That she does not have any bad long-term side effects of the treatment, and the cancer does not grow back or spread.
- That God gives her full healing and a long, healthy and cancer-free life, and helps her strengthen and grow.
- That her doctors and nurses know what to do, give her the right treatment, and that God strengthens Christie and Brad.
- That Imogen’s family stays healthy and does not get sick and that none of us get Covid-19.
- That the PRISM study quickly produces accurate targeted treatment to overcome the cancer.

Castle Hill Men's Ministry is an inclusive open group that is looking to always inspire, lift up the name of Jesus, and better still, be in alignment with our church values and mission of being that light into the world.
We hold a Zoom Bible study each Wednesday night - men of all ages are most welcome to join any time!
This week starting Sabbath tonight, Castle Hill Men's Ministry is having a Week of Prayer. The difference is, every man needs to connect with a buddy from church and continue the week with that person. It may be a physical call, or a text message if you are not too confident over the phone.
We want to do this before 7:00am each morning through the week to Sabbath Close next week. Your prayer may be for increased wisdom, understanding, faith, career, family, or just a simple need.
Let us be strong in this and I appeal to the hearts of men, young and old, to join in this, as this is the way we will conquer Life's challenges.

Although the church building is taking a rest, it is still needing constant care. If you'd like to some weeding or trimming over the holidays or during the week, we'd love you to volunteer!

Community Response
There is also a huge opportunity to reach out and invest time in our community and friends through local service projects. Like on Sunday 13 September, a small group met up at the home of a local resident who had expressed a need for help around his

|
home and yard. Armed with lawnmowers, edge trimmers, rakes, spades and garbage bags, we cleaned up around his home and garden. If this is something you'd like to get involved with, please contact Chris Engel to find out what is lined up in the future. Refreshments are always provided and we truly look forward to demonstrating God's love through service. It is a lot of fun working as a team to glorify His name, and help someone out.

Food Parcels - During this current crisis, we have the opportunity to be the Church like never before! We’re being the hands and feet of Jesus in very practical ways, and you can help!

We have so many people to feed, so many people in need. Our mission statement is to be the most loving church—so let's take this golden opportunity to give back and help struggling people in our community.
A big thank you to the many families dropping off food to Castle Hill. We’re still in great need of food, as there is much pain in the community. If you are able to provide food for ADRA Blacktown or Mt Druitt food pantries, please drop the food off on Monday from 2:00pm-7:00pm - Richard Hurrell will be at church until 4:00pm, and Pr Pablo will be around till 7:00pm to can take your donations too. Alternatively, please contact Pr Pablo and he can arrange for someone to collect your donation from you.

Fund for Needy Persons (FFNP)
The Fund for Needy Persons (FFNP) Committee has acknowledged that some church members wish to support other members facing hardship and poverty because of loss of employment caused by our current pandemic.
The aim of the FFNP is to restore independence by helping people back on their feet again. The charity is maintained by the generosity of members who give regularly and when the annual offering is collected. Contributions to this fund can be made via egiving.org.au/ and search Church Fund for the Needy. Donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible.

Because of COVID-19, there is no ADRA Appeal door-knock and there is a worry that ADRA will not have the funds needed to maintain the work that they do – work that sustains and supports so many people who are down and out; people that have been abused, neglected, disabled and, without ADRA's help, have little hope for tomorrow.
"I know that God is faithful," says Malcolm Rea, ADRA Director–Greater Sydney. "He has a heart for poor vulnerable people and will touch the hearts of those who feel that that they have been blessed and during this pandemic and have the capacity to give.
Since we are not able to collect face-to-face this year, there may be a creative way for you to raise funds for such a needy cause. Social media has been a great tool during our world crisis - maybe you have a way to use your network and connections? Share on your Facebook or Instagram page a link or video about ADRA Appeal, to encourage your contacts to donate. ADRA’s website allows donations to go where donors want. Select one of the options provided or specify i.e. Macquarie Fields Community Centre. Alternatively, register for an on-line fundraising event.
