In the 19th chapter of Jeremiah God is angry with Israel about their wicked life style. “For Israel has forsaken me…they have filled this place with the blood of innocent children. They have built pagan shrines…and there they burn their sons as sacrifices…I have never commanded such a horrible deed.”
Wow, God was ticked off, big time. Here we are in the USA where the murder of the unborn is legal and the evil powers in our country are fighting like mad to continue this ungodly practice. We live in a nation where 60+ million babies have been murdered since Roe v. Wade became law in 1973. That is over 1,275,000 babies killed each year for 47 years. Think of the outcry by the American media if 1,275,000 dogs and cats were killed each year for 47 years because of the dog and cats owner right to choose. They would come completely unglued. God help us!

Constitution of the United States protects a pregnant woman’s liberty to choose to have an abortion without excessive government restriction.
During the past 47 years how many families have been affected by the loss of an aborted child. How many scientists, engineers, teachers, doctors, dentists, chemists, blue and white collar workers have been aborted. Never to bring joy to their family, never to play sports, never have their own family, never own a home, never to feel the love of their child, never to be a grandparent, never to go fishing with Dad, never to help mother wash dishes or prepare a Thanksgiving dinner. And from an economic viewpoint, how many cars were never purchased, nor homes bought, how much furniture was never purchased, how many Christmas gifts were missed, and the list goes on and on.
We now, as a nation, find ourselves in an election season. Millions in our land believe that we must rollback the continued slaughter of the unborn. Others feel that the women’s right to choose is a right and cannot be turned back. We who vote must make a choice!

But what does God say in this matter? Well, if God was angry at Israel in Jeremiah’s lifetime for the destruction of innocent children, and God does not change his mind, why would God allow America to skate by? Don’t you think that God’s blood pressure is rising after 47 years? Life is precious…life comes from God…life is made in the image of God. So as we vote, remember God is watching. We who are followers of Jesus Christ cannot condone murder so our choice is Life. God said. “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you…” Jeremiah 1:5
