COVID-19 
This week, 519 political ads aired on TV that referenced the Coronavirus. Here are the three ads with the most airings:

"He Has a Plan" from Future Forward, 12,194 airings
"We'll Live Carefully" from Donald Trump, 8,851 airings
"Middle Class Values" from Future Forward, 6,520 airings

 
SUPREME COURT NOMINATION
This week, 39 ads referenced the Supreme Court nomination. 

Jaime Harrison targeted Lindsey Graham with the ad "As Good as His Word."
America First aired the as "Serve You" in support of Amy Coney Barrett.
Senate Leadership Fund started airing "Packing the Court."

 
TOP ELECTIONS
Between now and election day, we'll be sharing the Senate, House, and Gubernatorial races that have seen the most money this cycle:

Senate: North Carolina, $243M
House: New Mexico-02, $24.2M
Gubernatorial: North Carolina, $40.3M

 
SPENDING TOP-LINES
Over the past seven days we've seen $563.3M spent across 1,816 elections. 

Los Angeles, CA was the market that saw the most spending this week at $27.3M.

The election with the most spending was the U.S. Presidential with a total of $129.6M

The top non-presidential race was North Carolina Senate with a total of $24.4M.

SENATE HIGHLIGHTS
All eyes are on the Senate lately. Here are some fast facts:

Jaime Harrison is the highest spending Senate candidate of all time. 

Seven of the ten most expensive Senate races ever have occurred in 2019-2020.

Issue groups have spent more than $1B on Senate races in 2019-2020.

This cycle, Democratic candidates have spent a combined $460M while Republican candidates have spent a combined $264M

 
US PRESIDENTIAL 2020
Traditional Media:  
Joe Biden spent $39.7M this week. He spent $1M+ in each of these markets: Phoenix, Philadelphia, Miami, Detroit, Orlando, Milwaukee, Harrisburg, Tampa, Raleigh, Pittsburgh, Charlotte, and nationally. 

Donald Trump spent $18.6M this week. He aired 26 ads. The top two were the positive ad "We'll Live Carefully," and the negative ad "Biden's Plan."

Future Reservations:
Between now and Election day,
Biden has $74.5M reserved 
Trump has $55.7M reserved 
Future Forward has $60M reserved
America First Action has $28.1M reserved


Digital Media:
Donald Trump was the top digital advertiser last week, spending $18.1M on Facebook and Google. Joe Biden spent $11.6M. Here's a breakdown of Trump's activity:

MARKET MONITOR
There were 63 political advertisers active in Detroit, MI - accounting for $18.5M.

The average Daytime cost per point for 35+ ranged from $341 for candidates to $478 for issue advertisers.

We identified 114 new contracts and 468 rates for this daypart in the market this week.
