FILLER FACTORY 
PACKING PARTY UPDATE

 
 
ROUND 1 RESULTS ARE IN!
 
About 300 volunteers folded and packed 8,300 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes this past week.  5,600 of those shoeboxes will be shipped to “Special Access” countries located in sensitive, hard-to-reach areas of the world typically closed to Christian influence.
 
Thank you to all those who participated!  If you were not able to join us, or did and would like to do it again, registration is now open for Round 2:

Shoebox Folding Sessions on Monday, November 2
  • Session 1: 9:00 A – 11:00A (25 box folders)
  • Session 2: 11:30A – 1:30P (25 box folders)
  • Other volunteer tasks available
 
Shoebox Packing Sessions Tuesday and Wednesday, November 3 and 4
  • Tuesday, November 3
    • Session 1: 9:00A – 11:00A (20 packers; 8 support positions)
    • Session 2: 11:30A – 1:30P (20 packers; 8 support positions)
    • Session 3: 2:00P – 4:00P (20 packers; 8 support positions)
  • Wednesday, November 4
    • Session 1: 9:00A – 11:00A (20 packers; 8 support positions)
    • Session 2: 11:30A – 1:30P (20 packers; 8 support positions)
  • Thursday, November 5
    • Breakdown and Cleanup, 9:00A – 12:00P (10 positions)
 
You won’t want to miss these rewarding times serving together for a great and worthy cause. This year, due to COVID protocols, multiple, smaller sessions have been designed to accommodate social distancing and other precautions. Participation will require registration using a our online sign-up app.

FUTURE ACTIVITES TO NOTE:

LOCC Shoebox Celebration Weekend
  • Saturday and Sunday services, November 14 and 15
  • Bring your own, personally packed shoeboxes and your Village-to-Village shoeboxes to one of our church services
  • Celebration and prayer over shoeboxes in each service
     
Operation Christmas Child – National Collection Week
  • November 16 – 23, varying hours each day
  • LOCC is a drop-off site for the community and organizations
  • Volunteers will be needed
 
Operation Christmas Child Processing Center Mission Trip
  • December 1-3, Atlanta, GA

There will be opportunities to volunteer and serve during these events as well – watch for details soon.
