Last year by this time, we had already gathered for our annual dinner to share stories about the impact of Read Muskegon, and opportunities to get engaged. But, as we have all experienced, the limitations of physical distancing have forced us to get creative with our activities – including fundraisers.
That’s why we’re excited to unveil Reading is Power – our “Event in an Envelope!” By now, some of you will have received your event materials in the mail. If you didn't, everything you need to participate is available to download here. We hope you’re excited to dig in and get reading!
- Grab your favorite book and share your #ReadingIsPower selfie!
- Complete the Crossword Puzzle by going on a Read Muskegon scavenger hunt!
- Grab your kids, grandkids or favorite four-legged friend and join us for Book Bingo!
- Watch Denowa's Story about her daughter's journey with a Read Muskegon tutor.
Check out the event instructions for details on how to participate in these activities while helping to spread the message that #ReadingIsPower! Find out how you can be entered to win a $50 gift card to a local restaurant.
Please consider sharing these family-friendly activities with others. This event is open to everyone.
As a supporter of our mission, you know the incredible impact of literacy on families and communities. Together, we can ensure that all individuals in need of improved literacy skills – no matter their age – have access to the information and resources they need to succeed.
