Welcoming Church During Covid
(From the Session)

As our Sunday morning attendance continues to grow we want to continue to welcome new guests. One way to do this is for some of us to give up our seats in the Auditorium for them. So, we are asking Trinity members, grouped by elder-oversight list, to volunteer to worship via live-feed in our overflow space in the Social Hall.

SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP

Learning Diligence

Rev. Andrew Myers

Diligence doesn't come naturally for us. Parents seek to ingrain it in their children. Teachers encourage it in their students. Bosses look for it in their employees. But for most of us, it is a continual battle in one way or another. Proverbs confirms that diligence is essential to faithfulness, but it also leads us to the well of wisdom and gives us resources for cultivating this crucial discipline.

Proverbs 6:6-8; 10:2-5; 13:4; 10:22; 15:19; 24:30-34; 24:14-15
Go to the ant, O sluggard;
consider her ways, and be wise.
Without having any chief,
officer, or ruler,
she prepares her bread in summer
and gathers her food in harvest.

SUNDAY EVENING WORSHIP

Sin is Against God

Rev. Allen Curry

Most of us know how badly we feel when we do something wrong against someone we love. We have a range of sentiments–sadness, embarrassment, shame, etc. Our inclination is to do something to right the wrong and to reestablish a wholesome relationship. But do we feel the same way toward God?

Join us this evening as we will look at how sin or wrongdoing is always first directed against God. If this is the case, shouldn’t we experience reactions similar to those we experience when we wrong someone close to us?

Psalm 51
Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your steadfast love;
according to your abundant mercy
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin!

STAFF APPRECIATION FUND

Members and friends of TOPC are invited to contribute as you are able and inclined to our new Staff Appreciation Fund. This fund will be administered by a committee of the session to express our gratitude for those who lead us in our various ministries. Disbursal of funds will take place around the year-end holiday time, but you are encouraged to begin thinking about this opportunity earlier than our past practice allowed.

Of course, contributing to the fund is only one way to show gratitude and appreciation for

any and all of those who serve us in any capacity, so feel free to express this encouragement in the meantime as you see fit.

If you would like to contribute, you may do so by dropping a check in the offering plate designated for the Staff Appreciation fund.

“Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus.” (Romans 15:5)
