Hi there! Welcome to the latest newsletter from www.paulgitsham.com!

I hope that you and yours are keeping well.

The last newsletter, in June, covered this year's new releases.
This time around, I'm bringing exciting news about signed copies and Audiobooks, and introducing my new writing tips blog.

Win a complete signed set of all 6 paperbacks
I am delighted to announce that I am taking part in this year's Children in Read auction, raising money for the BBC's Children in Need campaign. There are over 500 authors taking part, so you are sure to find someone you fancy.

I am offering a complete set of all six full-length paperbacks, each individually signed. If you want a different dedication in each book, I am happy to do so.

To enter, click the image link below.
My lot number is #344.

The auction runs until 11pm November 13th, leaving plenty of time for you to decide whether to keep the books or give them away to six friends as Christmas presents!

Signed Bookplates!
If you aren't fortunate enough to win the auction, or you already have a copy of a book that you want signed, then I am happy to offer a free signing.

In-person signing is obviously out of the question for the time being, and sending books through the post can get expensive, so I am pleased to offer free, personally-signed bookplates as a thank you to readers who have bought a copy of any of my books!

These are stickers the correct size to insert in the front of the book, that I will be happy to sign and dedicate however you wish. If you have more than one book, I'll be happy to do several and pop them all in the same envelope.

All you need to do is take a photo of yourself holding the book (you can hide your features if you are shy!) and send it to me via Twitter, Facebook or email (details below) as proof of purchase.

I'll then print and sign the bookplate and post it to you, free of charge.

You can contact me by:
Email on dcijones@outlook.com
Facebook Messenger www.facebook.com/dcijones (start the message with bookplate, so I can see why you are messaging me).

If you are happy for me to give you a shoutout and thank you on social media, let me know, I won't do it unless you give me permission.

Audiobook news.
Do you enjoy Audiobooks? Are you interested in how they are made and recorded? All of my full-length novels are available, unabridged, to download as audiobooks, narrated by the wonderful Malk Williams.

It's been an absolute thrill listening to my stories being read out loud, and he's really brought them to life, so I am extremely excited to be taking part in a unique three-way live interview with the reviewer Alex Hawley and Malk, where we will discuss the series and how Malk brings them to life.
We recorded a short promotional video earlier this week, which you can watch here:
https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1830497370421701
The interview will take place on Monday 19th @ 7pm UK time, and you can take part in the live chat.
To take part, you will need to join the UK Crime BookClub Facebook page.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/ukcrimebookclub

If you miss the chat, or don't wish to join the group, the video will be archived on their Youtube page, where there are already loads of other interviews that are worth a watch.

To download from Audible, you will need their free app. You can then access the books either through the app, or through each book's Amazon page. Follow this link for the list of all my books https://amzn.to/2C05ODa.

Are you a budding writer? Are you interested in the writing process?
For the past few months, I have been posting short writing tips on social media each week, using the hashtag #TuesdayTips.
Last month I decided that the word limits for social media were becoming too much of a constraint, and decided to start a blog on my website, where I could write longer, more in-depth articles.
All the short #TuesdayTips are archived here, and each new article will still be announced on social media using that hashtag.

And finally - what have I been up to lately?
Last month, I was interviewed by UK Crime Book Club, and answered a few of the questions submitted by those watching live.

I am still busy writing. I recently submitted the complete manuscript for Book 7, due out next summer.
With nothing better to keep me occupied, I then started immediately on Book 8, due out in Summer 2022!

Regular readers of the series will know that the stories are set a few years before the date of publication. That places me in the fortunate position of not yet having to set a book in 2020!
When the series does reach this year, I hope that the benefit of a couple of years perspective will allow me to portray this tumultuous year realistically, but rest assured, I will not be writing a 'Covid' novel.

So, thank you again for subscribing, and I look forward to sharing my latest news in the future.

Stay safe,
Paul
