We offer prayers of thanksgiving for the life of Ruling Elder Tom Suchomel, who joined the Church Triumphant on October 16, 2020. Many of you knew Tom had been fighting cancer for almost 5 years. Tom passed away into the arms of God on Friday morning.
Tom was a faithful leader in the Presbytery. We honor his service to the Presbytery on PCC, Personnel, Trustees, and numerous Administrative Commissions as well as his upholding well his ordination vows to serve with energy, intelligence, imagination, and love. He possessed a very large heart for servant leadership. Above all, he was a friend in ministry to all.
We offer prayers of comfort to Tom's family and to the Cedar Rapids/Olivet congregation. Visitation and services are pending, and will be at Murdock Funeral Homes on Wilson Ave, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Let us lift up prayers of thanksgiving to our Lord for the witness of this faithful Servant
