Adaptation: We are more capable than we think

Dear water professional,
Week 43 may seem like just another week in this challenging year of 2020 but for us it is important. It is the original week of (what would have been) the 2020 IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition. Right now, we could have been shuffling around the Bella Center Copenhagen, mingling, networking, and reconnecting with colleagues.
But COVID-19 came...and stayed. We, at IWA, sprang into action, creating engaging, virtual opportunities for you to stay involved, show how you used your expertise at home, and ease the minds of those of you at home who were caught up in the facts and fiction surrounding this novel virus. This global situation was new for all of us but, we adapted; we had to.
That's why in 2021, the IWA #WorldWaterCongress & Exhibition is important. We need you in Copenhagen, to see, and learn from, the exhibitors' technologies and innovations, to collaborate with colleagues who have implemented new infrastructure and reaped the benefits, to contribute to the discussions. We need you to actively deliver on the global water challenges.
Join us in Copenhagen, we'll be happy to see you at the IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition, 9-14 May 2021
Kind regards,
Rui Veras
IWA Marketing and Communications Director

The good news is: the technology exists today to solve many of the urgent water issues of our time. We are at the tipping point on the digitalisation curve with results and experience from early adopters that prove digital solutions are a powerful tool to change the way we work with water.
