Good morning smalltown saints,
It has been reported that DBC members and neighbors are receiving text messages from "~Pastor David Catoe" requesting help in carrying out an urgent task. This is a SCAM reported by Angleton Police Department a few days back. The number used in this scam and the content of the message can be seen in this screenshot.
Per the instructions found below in the APD SCAM ALERT, if you are contacted by this number or if anyone is requesting money from you, do not respond. If you have been scammed, please contact the Angleton Police Department at 979-849-2383.
FYI: Pastor David Smith from Community Baptist has reported the same happenings, so if you receive a text from ANY clergy or church leader or anything that seems suspicious please be cautious.
