Creation Sabbath is a special time of celebration! A chance to rejoice, praise, and rest with God as we enjoy the creation He made. The Children’s Ministries Department of the Alberta Conference is excited to partner with Prairie Adventist eSchool (PACeS) to offer two sessions to improve your virtual ministries for young children. As the COVID pandemic continues to challenge churches and especially children's ministries to engage their members, we’re blessed to have a team of national experts in online children’s instruction right here in the Alberta Conference. The PACeS staff are excited to pass on their experience and ideas for using Zoom to engage your young children in church programs and Sabbath Schools. So, if you work in your church's Children's Ministries or Children's Sabbath School departments, please consider joining us on Monday, October 19 and Monday, October 26 at 7 pm for two one-hour sessions.
Sessions will be taught by professional Adventist children’s educators with plenty of time for Q&A and practicing these concepts yourself. If you’re involved in ministering to younger children online, you won’t want to miss this event. Please register at www.albertaadventist.ca/ChM2020

But Perhaps not in the way you think....
“You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are . . . blind” (Rev. 3:17, NIV). I never knew a blind person could think he was seeing clearly, until I read Mark 8. Read more at https://www.adventistreview.org/legally-blind

On December 5, 2020, we are blessed to have Pastor Ron Sydney. He grew up in St. Lucia. He was called to ministry at a young age. He answered the call and went to study Theology at Canadian University College. After graduating he was called to pastor the Ephesus and Richland Churches. It wasn’t too long after his successful ministry that Pastor Ron was called to pastor the 24/7 church in Seattle Washington. Currently, Pastor Ron is serving as the lead pastor for two churches in the Detroit area, Pontiac Southside and Detroit Center. Pastor Ron loves preaching and loves sharing inspiring messages to young people. His raw authentic and transparent style allows hearers to engage with him and connect with him on another level.
Our Youth Empowerment Weekend will focus on the theme, “Unshackled.” Join us at 11:30 AM for an empowering message from Pastor Ron and an open conversation at 4:00 PM!
