Mornin',

First and foremost huge shoutout to one of our biggest fans, Tulip, for checking in on us to make sure the Breeze is still going out to all of your inboxes. We're still going strong, and we appreciate you, so we sent a little gift for ya (via Todd. You should know him).

Now onto that Breeze. Today's newsletter will warm your heart, educate your brain, cool your heart, and then rumble your stomach. Learn about a rescued elk who found himself in a sticky situation, get all the voting info you'll need for Natrona County, and prepare for the cold. Kelly's Food Truck Highlight is on Papa's Pork Chops.

According to the weather people, this is one of our last warmish days for a bit with a high of 54°F, clouds, and an 11 mph breeze.

Daily Update

Elk lives to see another day

A bull elk found himself in a pickle when his antlers became entangled in a hammock on October 12th. Numerous individuals reached out to the Blaine County, Idaho Sheriff's Department to voice their concerns as he seemed to be "struggling to keep its head above water".

Thanks to those people, the deputies, and the Idaho Fish and Game Department the bull elk was saved!

Yay! It's going to get cold this week

Yes, that excitement is sarcasm. Our temperatures are going to go from being nice and warm to bitter and cold this week.

Expect this fun change to happen overnight Wednesday. Winter is coming.

Food Truck Highlight:
Papa's Pork Chops

Kelly here! This one has been a long time coming.

Papa's Pork Chops is probably the most frequently seen food truck in Casper. Every time I turn around I see them! There really is no excuse if you haven't tried them yet (unless you don't like or can't eat meat, then you have a perfectly valid reason).

Even if you aren't a huge pork fan, this truck is on its own level of quality when it comes to pork chops. I've never been a big pork chop fan as they can be really chewy, however maybe that's just based on how I cook pork chops. That's why it means a lot when I say that these pork chops are SO juicy, flavorful, and a real bargain in regards to the price.

See my full review below.

What else do they have?

They serve their signature pork chop on a toasted bun and dressed with your choice of toppings.

They also have Ham & Cheese, Ham, and Sloppy Joe ALL served on a yummy toasted bun with a seleciton of toppings.

Find their full menu here.

Here's what I recommend...

If you've never eaten here before, you HAVE to have the Pork Chop sandwich. I add lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and whipped dressing to mine to make it feel a little healthier (whether it is or isn't is up for debate!).

Also, get the garlic fries! That is an an absolute MUST.

Still don't know where to find them? I've got your back!

Papa's Pork Chops is really good about posting and updating their schedule. You can find that here.

This is one of the last food trucks that I have hope will be around during the colder months. Their yummy food is perfect for a chilly day out and about.

Catch them tomorrow at the Riverfront Extravaganza in Mills from 4:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
