This fall, the BulletPoints Project launched our website – a comprehensive resource for clinicians who see patients at risk of firearm violence, accidental injury, or suicide. Our site has three main sections: The Basics (how to talk to patients, epidemiology, etc.),  Clinical Scenarios in which firearms might be relevant (suicide, accidental injury, etc.), and Interventions (safe storage counseling, gun violence restraining orders, etc.). It also features a blog, FAQs, a glossary of terms, and links to relevant external resources, including peer-reviewed journal articles.  

Browse BulletPoints.org and please share widely with your colleagues! And stay tuned for the launch of our educators section, to help you teach clinical strategies for firearm injury prevention to your students and colleagues.

Latest News
This fall we’ve also seen exciting developments in research, resources, conferences, and funding for firearm violence prevention across the country.  

• The CDC and NIH named the recipients of major funding for research on firearm injury prevention, including BulletPoints colleagues and collaborators Dr. Nicole Kravitz-Wirtz, Dr. Aimee Moulin, and Dr. Megan Ranney.
• A multidisciplinary group of experts published a moving call to action in Pediatrics about the importance of enhancing research on safe storage practices by including the voices of firearm owners. 
• The annual conference of the American Public Health Association (APHA) begins October 24 and is entirely virtual. This year's theme is "Creating the Healthiest Nation: Preventing Violence," and several experts in firearm injury prevention will present their work.
