Dear Sheep Vet,

This is horribly last minute but just making sure that you are aware of the UK-Vet Healthy Herd conference that is to be held online TOMORROW.

There are three streams - Life in Practice, Cattle Health and Pig & Sheep Health.
At the 3.10pm sheep session, Fiona will be talking about engaging with sheep farmers and presenting results from our recent Flock Health Club survey.  These data will also be reported in the November issue of UK Vet Livestock - so even if you miss tomorrow, keep an eye out for this publication!
Other talks at the conference of particular relevance to vets who want to communicate better with their clients may be the 12pm Keynote - 'The impact of Covid-19 and the future of vet/farmer collaboration' by Matt Yarnall or 'Vet-Farmer communication - a Roundtable discussion' between Fiona MacGillivray, Owen Atkinson & Abi Reader at 1.50pm.

If tomorrow is too soon for you, then here is advanced warning of the SHAWG Conference that will be held online on 24th November.
In the past, a number of sheep vets have taken their Flock Health Club members to the SHAWG conference & it has always been given extremely impressive feedback.
At 10am, Lesley Stubbings & Fiona Lovatt will be talking with two well-known sheep farmers, Clare Wise & Kevin Harrison, about what the responsible use of medicines looks like in practice on their farms.
And further sessions will explore how we can understand farmer behaviour and influence good practice on farms as well as improve neonatal lamb survival and performance.
What about inviting your Flock Health Club members to join you online for the occasion?

Looking forward to seeing you (well at least virtually) at one of these events.

Best wishes, Fiona & Phillipa
