Consultation on Round 2 of PSP amendments commences November 10, 2020!
Round 2 of the PSP amendments will undergo public consultation from Tuesday, November 10, 2020 to Thursday, December 10, 2020.
The PSPs being amended in Round 2 are:
- Planning scheme policy - subsurface drainage design
- Planning scheme policy - structures - bridge design
- Planning scheme policy - cycle facilities and pathway design
- Planning scheme policy - pavement design
- Planning scheme policy - site regrading
The proposed updates to these PSPs are mostly focused on updating references, standards and requirements to reflect modern practice.

Public consultation
Public consultation on the proposed amendment is scheduled to occur from Tuesday, November 10, 2020, until 5pm on Thursday, December 10, 2020.
During the public consultation period, the proposed amendment will be available for viewing and purchase at the customer service centres in Mackay, Sarina and Mirani.
Public information session
An information session will be held to provide more information and answer any questions about the proposed amendments. Details are as follows:

Submissions
Anyone can make a submission within the consultation period about any aspect of the proposed amendment.
The submission must be in writing, include the full name and residential or business address of each person making the submission, be signed by each person making the submission, state the grounds of the submission and the facts and circumstances relied on in support of the grounds. The submission must be made to Mackay Regional Council and received within the consultation period.
