Autumn is harvest time, and in our area as well - with so many activities, reports, new projects, events is hard to keep up! Our main highlights are the results of ALL DIGITAL Awards and annual ALL DIGITAL Summit organised in October (many thanks to our partners, speakers, and participants!) with over 500 registered attendees and more watching via streaming. If you have missed it, you can watch the plenary sessions and workshops; see the links below.
We are also pleased to share updates from our other events and various projects with workshops, reports, tools, new methodologies, and contests.

500+ participants at ALL DIGITAL Summit 2020

On 7-8 October 2020, ALL DIGITAL organised its annual summit online. The theme of the event was 'Competences for the future' with four main tracks:
- Towards a version 2.2 of DigComp
- The future of digital competence centres
- Recognition of digital competence certificates in Europe
- Lessons learned during COVID-19

Designing and delivering VET curricula in the digital age

On 11 November 2020, ALL DIGITAL and European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training – EVBB organized “Designing and delivering VET curricula in the digital age” online event. The event was part of the European Vocational Skills Week 2020 and Smart-DevOps project and addressed the challenges posed to the VET sector by the increasing need for digitized training and training in digital skills.  ALL DIGITAL presented its activities at the Internet Governance Forum Village

The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is a global multi-stakeholder platform that facilitates discussions on public policy issues pertaining to Internet governance. ALL DIGITAL participated in this global platform with a virtual booth in the IGF 2020 Online Village, which featured 70+ organisations from all stakeholder and regional groups, showcasing their work on different Internet governance issues. New Project

Rayuela: 17 partners from 9 countries against cybercrimes

The new Horizon 2020 project "Rayuela" aims to make internet a safer place for young people, against cybercrimes such as online grooming, cyber bullying and human trafficking. The project combines a multidisciplinary approach, embracing psychology, criminology and anthropology, using technology as a powerful tool to define the IT Threat landscape. A serious game will be developed to reach out to young people, through a language that is familiar, following interactive storylines and highlighting different risks. Read more

COVID-19 and the Digital SkillShift Project

Even before the Covid-19 crisis, online working was becoming vital. Now it is essential, and ALL DIGITAL, with its partners Stiftung Digitale Chancen, Simplon.co and Fondazione Patrizio Paoletti have been developing a curriculum – the Digital Skillshift curriculum - that goes to the heart of the problem. However, the delivery of the Digital Skillshift project has been significantly impacted by the Covid-19 crisis during 2020. Read more about it here.

A Guide of STE(A)M Education Practices

The STEAMonEdu project consortium has prepared a Guide of STE(A)M Education Practices, identifying 11 successful practices, from which it is possible to obtain lessons relating to the training needs of teachers interested in adopting a STE(A)M approach to teaching. Get Your Facts Straight! project presented at the European Week of Regions and Cities

ALL DIGITAL participated in the No Lockdown for e-Democracy #EURegionsWeek workshop organized by DG JUST in cooperation with EACEA. The session discussed the promises and challenges of e-democracy during the COVID-19 response and highlighted some e-democracy best practices of EU-funded projects. The Educational Robotics handbook from e-Media in different languages!

The handbook on Educational Robotics from the e-Media project is now available in Spanish, French, Italian, and Latvian. The handbook gives an insight in robotics and its implementation in education. It is intended to be used as a guideline and source for inspiration for teachers who are willing to expand their knowledge and skills and learn together with children in creative environment.  'Key Competences for Smart Cities Stakeholders' workshop

The workshop “Key Competences for Smart Cities Stakeholders” was organised by the Smart-DevOps project consortium on 8 October 2020 as part of the ALL DIGITAL Summit. The workshop discussed the main challenges of smart cities and skills needs; how citizens could be engaged in the development of smart cities, how #SmartDevOps project and its MOOC contributed to the development of necessary competences for smart cities personnel. "Learn how to crowddream" - CDDC workshop

The Art of Crowddreaming is a methodology that connects young people and educators with cultural heritage and digitalisation in a unique co-creation process that contributes to the common understanding of the European history and values, intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding. CDDC (Crowddreaming: Youth Co-create Digital Culture) Project consortium organised the workshop to explain the methodology, introduce CDDC curriculum and MOOC, share experience and lessons learned from pilots, and to encourage crowddreaming activities in various countries. DigitalBiblio Challenge for Erasmus Days

For the #ErasmusDays 2020 in October, the Biblio project ran a challenge to collect ideas on innovative digital activities and services that users want to have in their libraries. Those ideas will be used for inspiration for the work-based phase of our Biblio training for librarians. The Project partners selected two winners! Check the winning ideas in Italy and in Latvia and visit the Biblio website  for other project updates.

What is the Social Hackademy Methodology?

Future jobs, local digital talent and new educational approaches are the three main pillars of the Social Hackademy Methodology. To learn how that translates to concrete activities, what the objectives and target groups are, and how to implement grassroots digital co-creation initiatives, you are invited to check the Methodology on #HackAD project website.

Are you ready to reinforce your digital skills and competences with open source technologies?

In October 2020, Open-AE project partners hosted an online final event where they presented the main results of the project and discussed challenges of the FLOSS technologies and culture in non-formal adult education sector with international experts. Piloting of the methodology (Open-AE Curriculum) and developed tools (Open-AE Toolkit) was very successful. You are invited to learn more about the event and how to improve adults digital skills with FLOSS here.

ICT4Elderly project in the Digital Inclusion Stories

"ICT for the Elderly" project offers upskilling of basic digital competences for the elderly. As part of the action, partners gathered best practices to develop a training manual and online academy. Working with the elderly in Covid times: sessions experience

The ICTSkillsAll project has faced multiple challenges under the current pandemic, especially to reduce risk exposure for a particularly vulnerable target group. Working with the elderly in Covid times has offered heartwarming experiences and important learning, providing an opportunity to truly understand the importance of digital skills to reduce isolation.  DocEnhance project publishes its first newsletter

Our DocEnhance project aims to enhance transferable skills intelligence and integration into existing PhD programmes. It has issued its first report on Good practice recommendations for integrating transferable skills training into PhD programmes.
