Minerals, molecules and the Nobel Prize: Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin at the University Museum - 18 November at 7pm

Our next live lecture on 18 November will be about the only British woman to have won the Nobel Prize for science, and whose seminal work was carried out in our own Museum. The lecture will be presented by Georgina Ferry, science writer, author, and broadcaster. Ferry is also Dorothy Hodgkin's biographer.

'STRATA', a book about geologist William Smith, now available

Thames & Hudson publishers has recently launched 'STRATA', featuring the work of William Smith. It is described as, a "definitive and accessible reference showcases the revolutionary work of William Smith, son of a blacksmith and ‘father of English geology’".
