NEW SUNDAY MORNING SCHEDULE AT ACC
Dear ACC family,
Beginning this Sunday, November 8, ACC will launch a new, abbreviated morning schedule. Due to the increased COVID-19 positivity rate in our region, we feel that an abbreviated schedule on Sundays would assist in doing all we can to responsibly prevent the spreading of the virus. Therefore, beginning this Sunday, we will be cancelling the 9 a.m. hour and all activities therein (nursery, K-5 Sunday School, Junior High/High School Sunday School, and both of our adult Sunday School classes).
A decreased “in person” attendance due to COVID-19 concerns has also caused a lack of volunteers to effectively sustain our children’s ministry programs on Sunday mornings. We feel that an abbreviated schedule addresses this issue and will help our remaining children’s ministry volunteers maintain a program with more excellence, continuity, and sustainability.
Our 10 a.m. worship service will continue as usual with an option to participate online via our Church Online Platform or Facebook Live (*see links below). Our team that currently leads our K-5 Sunday School class, directed by Danielle Emberton, will transition to the 10 a.m. hour and lead our children’s church program. Sally McGinnis, who currently schedules nursery volunteers, will schedule at least two adults (and a possible third teenage volunteer) during the 10 a.m. worship hour.
Our junior high / high school youth group will continue to meet on Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
This new schedule will remain in effect through January 2021. At that time, the leadership will reevaluate the situation and keep the congregation updated.
