Dear <<First Name>>,
Maybe your inbox is full of calls to action. My plea for patient, inward listening may seem upside down. No matter how you are facing this week, the Quaker way offers wisdom and courage.
Quakers were born in the chaos of English civil war. We know how to stay grounded, calm and attentive to the inner voice of God through social tumult. Keep praying! In the 1600's, early Quaker Isaac Penington encouraged: "Turn in. Turn in. Mind what stirs in your hearts..."
If you or someone you know longs to grow in inward spiritual awareness or discernment, please give that desire full weight. It may be the seed of one nation under Love (from Quaker poet, Ken Jacobsen in Wisconsin).
Way of the Spirit welcomes applications through this week for our latest mini-course, LISTEN: Spiritual Awareness and Discernment.
May Holy patience and love steady and guide us,
Christine Hall
