Shelter Animal Rescue Group Fall 2020
SARG news
Happy Thanksgiving! The air is getting crisp and the pumpkin pies are in the oven! I can smell the yummy goodness from here and don't we all need some yumminess in our 2020! I don't know about all of you, but I have been trying new recipes all year! It's been a fun adventure in food for us at my house. So I hope you enjoy some new treats and some old staples this holiday. I know our Thanksgiving table will be a lot smaller this year, but I hold everyone in my heart and keeping my loved ones healthy is more important. We will all still enjoy the time with our immediate families and maybe even a zoom call or two.

SARG is up to some great things this season. We are hosting a wonderful Holiday picture event on Saturday November 28th at the Oak Ridge Florist from 12-4pm. Bring the family and the furry friends to have your holiday pictures all ready for the cards. For a donation SARG will provide all your digital pictures through a google photo link. While taking photos we will wear masks and the pictures will be taken outside to minimize the risk of spreading COVID 19.

The BLOW OUT close to our annual yard sale is happening in December - Friday and Saturday the 4th & 5th from 9am to 1pm. Friday will be a 1/2 price event and Saturday is a bag event. Come on out and grab some bargains!!

Thank you all for your support during this crazy year. SARG really couldn't keep up with our rescue efforts if it wasn't for all of your generosity, both with your time and donations. We wish everyone a safe and healthy Thanksgiving holiday. -- Jennifer Robinson

Rainbow Bridge
LL(Lovely Lucy) Bean—kitty companion of Sheryl Wurl—crossed the Rainbow Bridge in late October. Sheryl & her senior kitty Bean were together only six months, but Bean had a good life for that time & Sheryl had a loving fur friend.

Adopter News
Hannah and Higgins are thriving and enjoying life. Higgins is my little guard nugget and just wants to patrol the yard all the time and bark at anything that could be a threat. . . The neighbor's flag, leaves, or anything really. He is such a precious baby. Hannah loves to be in my lap or laying in the sun enjoying a nap on her Ugg blanket. . . I just thought I bought myself a blanket, I was clearly mistaken.
I have already gotten their stocking together from Santa Paws, they just haven’t noticed them hanging in the mantle yet.
Thank you again for entrusting the kids with me. They are the light of my Life for sure.

Thank you Caiden Barcomb for the lovely pupdate. We love hearing about the adventures of our adoptees and it looks like a wonderful Christmas at your home. Two very lucky pooches you have.
Here is Princess. She wrote to us to make sure we are aware she is still The Princess and living the dream! And what an adorable princess she is!!
Letter from Sue Litman
Our little adoptee, Dakota a.k.a. Grommet and Garnet, is doing well.  Our vet said he was a bit underweight, so he has just completed his diet to fill him out.  As you can see, he was successful

Having been a genetics instructor, I was compelled to have his DNA checked. No Corgi or Pomeranian in our guy!  The five most predominant breeds are American Eskimo dog (28%), German Shepherd (14%), and Siberian Husky(13%), Mi-Ki (11%), and Chow Chow (11%). They also found traces of four other breeds in small amounts including Chihuahua, Beagle, Australian Stubby Tail Cattle dog and Dalmatian. We think he is perfect!

He has been so good in every way. He does sleep a lot and doesn’t seem to know how to play much. I wonder about his former life. We’re adjusting to his deafness and trying to use some signals for communication. He appears to be smart and is learning them.

Thank you and your team for getting Dakota to us. We three are very happy!  Happy Thanksgiving!  I’m thankful for Dakota!
