TTA INDUSTRY FORUM - 20 NOVEMBER, LAUNCESTON


TTA invites members to join us for an industry forum and networking day on Friday 20th November, at Peppers Silos, Launceston. 

Registrations for this event are essential as places are limited.

SESSIONS INCLUDE:

Tasmanian Heavy Vehicle Driver Rest Areas Project
  • Tasmanian Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Hon Michael Ferguson MP, will launch the Tasmanian Heavy Vehicle Driver Rest Area Strategy.
  • TTA will present the outcomes of our research into the availability of safe and accessible roadside facilities on key Tasmanian freight routes.
Workforce Development and the Transport & Logistics Industry Workforce Plan 2020 - 2023
  • TTA and the Tasmanian Transport & Logistics Workforce Advisory Group (TTLWAG) will report on the workforce development priorities for the Tasmanian Transport & Logistics Industry and will release the T&L Workforce Plan 2020 - 2023.  
  • Models for industry pathways - ideas about how to attract, recruit, develop and retain the workforce we need for the future.
  • University College MILE Truck - the Mobile Interactive Learning Experience!

Chain of Responsibility in Tasmanian Transport Chains
  • In 2018-19, the TTA worked with 3 Tasmanian transport businesses to explore how they were responding to the Chain of Responsibility requirements within their transport activities.  This session will highlight key findings and provide resources that can be adopted by operators to support CoR obligations, including engaging with CoR parties external to the transport business and using the Transport Industry Master Code.
  • This session will provide an update / overview of other CoR Projects underway nationally and in Tasmania.
