She’s been in a war zone
Since cancer
Ambushed her at birth.
She’s hurt.
You can’t see all of her wounds
But they’re there.
She’s cocooned and swaddled
In love and in blankets
But there’s no armour
A baby can wear;
Nothing that can protect her
Except for prayer
And the One who listens;
It’s Him who can make true
The hope in the hearts
Of both me and you.

Baby Imogen has been recovering well since brain surgery last week. There are some complications with her wound and she's still in some pain but getting stronger every day.
She started receiving high strength chemo on Wednesday. Please pray that it successfully destroys all brain cancer cells in her. We want this congenital Glioblastoma Multiforme Grade 4 cancer totally gone! This is our big prayer!
Thank you for praying for her and being part of her miracle.

Please continue to keep Alan in your prayers. He has had another hard week with Trigeminal Neuralgia pain, though his specialist has encouraged him that the new regime will improve. Please pray that new medication for pain management will be successful, and allow the elimination of heavy drugs that affect his overall well-being. Please pray for Alan's comfort and ability to cope with this new round of health challenges. He and June have a strong network of prayer warriors already praying - let's join them!

Let’s keep on loving each other and supporting those in need.
If you know anyone else who needs or would like prayer,
please send a message to Pr Pablo, Nick, Jess or Marvin.

Supporting Our Parents
How do you first learn to tell right from wrong? Who knows you better than anyone else in the world? For those of us blessed with parents who love and care for us, our moms and dads are our first teachers and our loudest cheerleaders. God's word tells us: "My son, hear the instruction of your father, and do not forsake the law of your mother" Proverbs 1:8.

Wahroonga SDA Church, hosted by Wahroonga Adventist Youth
ERROR: REBOOT REQUIRED. Please restart in 3 . . . 2 . . . 1 . . .
Undoubtedly, this year has been crazy. With bushfires, a global pandemic, businesses shutting down, widespread riots, BLM, and lockdowns, 2020 has taken a toll on our collective spiritual, mental and physical health. Have we tried turning 2020 on and off again?
It's time for a REBOOT!
While we can't promise to fix the world's problems (only Jesus can do that), we can promise a night full of spiritual revival. If you've been craving Jesus, in-person interaction and a sense of normalcy, UPPER ROOM: REBOOT is the place to be.
We'll be bringing back some classic Christian hits, testing your knowledge of old technology and parodying pop-culture. There will be inspiring testimonies, a killer message from Pastor Phil Yates and a free COVID-safe cafe afterwards!
Tell a friend, and bring a friend!
**PLEASE NOTE**
1. Sign-in will be required on arrival for COVID-tracing.
2. If you feel unwell or have been in contact with people unwell or with COVID, please DO NOT attend this event.

Good morning. Chris here.
Just a message of thanks to all the men who have contributed to the Bible study this year. It was a difficult one and despite all that was happening, we have managed to faithfully get into Gods Word and breathe that into our Heart.
I know it's difficult to set aside time each week and I would sincerely encourage you to slot into the Hour of Power as we are encouraged by God's word. We surely do learn from each other and there is no week that goes by that we are never attacked leading up to the 7:00pm start.
I value John Duncan and Vernon Lewis, Oliver, and other men too that I may have forgotten, who dig deep and challenge us too, that if that is how God leads then that is what we have to face.
As we sit at the table, let us be reminded of the Last Supper, the Cross at Calvary and the Baptism into the Life and Death of Christ.
We have a great purpose and we can live that freely in Christ.
To the wives that allow the men the time, a special blessing to them.
To the Ministry of God that affords me to come nervously and troubled to the throne each week, thank you for your Love and soothing hand when I don't know how that 7:00pm start may look like.
Lord, you consistently come through and we men need your guidance as we model Christian life to our sons and daughters in our homes.
To Pr Pablo for encouragement always, thank you.
God bless and I trust to see more at the weekly meeting with Christ at the head of the table.
~ Chris Engel, Castle Hill Men's Ministry.

Seniors Ministries - Retirees Enjoying
Life (REL)
We had a lovely catch up a few weeks ago at Heritage Park, Castle Hill and it was unanimous that we do something similar again before Christmas.
|
|
|
We have decided to go back to Heritage Park on Wednesday 25 November commencing at 12:00pm for a barbecue picnic (which we will supply). Very simple just vegetarian hot dogs. Nothing to bring except please bring your own drinks and chairs and again, all your stories to share! Facilities at Heritage Park are great including parking and toilets. Please let one of the Committee know if you are planning on attending so we can know how many to cater for.
Also a reminder of the Church Picnic on Sabbath December 5. This should be a fun day to catch up with our whole Church Family on the school oval commencing at 1:00pm. You only need to bring your chairs, food and drink.
Looking forward to seeing you all at both the above activities. It has been a loooong year and it is great we can gradually come out of our burrow and mix a little.

The Heart2Heart Pillow Project aims to encourage healing, offer support and provide comfort to breast cancer patients and other people who had surgery. The pillow is used to soothe both physical and emotional pain immediately after surgery, radiation or treatment. It not only helps to provide protection and support to the wound but is also a source of comfort and a token of love and care. Sydney Adventist Women have set a goal of 500 heart pillows to be made and donated to this course.
Here are the instructions for how to get involved:

Fresh perspectives on practising our faith, Edited by Jarrod Stackelroth
|
|
|
How can the truths expressed Seventh-day Adventist Church’s fundamental beliefs make a practical difference in your life? It's so important to practise our faith, not just believe it! Knowing what you believe is helpful. Living what you believe is transformational!
A collection of 29 contemporary writers from Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific share fresh and relevant, thoughtful and faithful, inspiring and—at times—challenging perspectives that will revive your faith and how you practise it. Each chapter, first published in Adventist Record, includes questions for group discussion or personal reflection.
Ideal for personal reading, youth and small groups, a Bible study or Sabbath school resource or even a baptismal gift.
“Any belief that has value must be lived out in our stories every day. This book challenges us to live God’s story as disciples of Jesus.”—Glenn Townend, President, South Pacific Division
Special offer!
For every 5 of these books you put in your cart, each 5th book will be free!
