The financial markets typically seesaw up and down during times of uncertainty because investors lack the information and knowledge necessary to predict outcomes when they are confronted with truly novel events, like a razor close presidential election that will not be finalized for days or weeks due to new voting practices necessitated by an ongoing global pandemic. Unfortunately, every POAA member must also grapple with additional uncertainty about the future of their equity because of the mysterious Campbell Snacks Mobile Transformation Initiative (MTI) launched last month, less than a fiscal quarter after it was first announced. PF expects owners to wait for detailed information about the initiative, which raises red flags for TeamPOAA because it unnecessarily raises the level of uncertainty about such an important aspect of our small businesses.

TeamPOAA received reports that despite the fact that many owners already have iPads and Samsung tablets, as well as other IOS and Android based Phablets and portable devices, PF nonetheless plans to mandate that they procure the readily-available consumer grade equipment from the sole-source designated by PF. PF also plans to force every owner to subscribe to its corporate cellular data plan without any explanation about why our existing cellular data plans are not good enough for our businesses. Even worse, PF plans to deduct more money automatically from our weekly sales commissions to cover its costs associated with its new technology initiative, according to PF’s Director of DSD Strategy and Distributor Engagement, Pat Coppola, and he documented that those charges will be mandatory.
