This month we're offering east Oxford residents a native sapling to plant in their gardens - absorbing carbon emissions and providing food for local wildlife!
The saplings have either been grown locally or given to us by the Woodland Trust charity, and there's a choice of: elder, hazel, holly, rowan, crab apple, juniper, hawthorn or sloe. If you aren't sure which would be the best choice for you just tell us a little about your garden and we'll be able to help advise you.
As well as getting a free tree to plant, we're also looking for local residents who can support our tree planting efforts by:
- putting up a poster about the free trees in your window or a local community building
- sending us photos of your tree being planted - we'd love to make a collage to show our community coming together even during lockdown!
- getting involved in our active LCEO trees group to help us continue to increase tree cover in our local area of east Oxford.
To claim your free tree or get involved, please get in touch using the email below.
