Election Day Noon Sit
Please join the Salida Sangha on Tuesday, November 3rd, 12-1pm for a special Election Day Sit where we will practice together to cultivate peace and connectedness. The format will include guided and silent practice, as well as some time to interact. May our hearts be filled with Loving Kindness, Compassion, Joy and Equanimity as an antidote to divisiveness in the mind.

Upaya Presents: Bearing Witness Together on Election Night, 2020
This program takes place on Tuesday, November 3 starting at 7:30 p.m. U.S. Mountain Time and concludes when appropriate with Roshi Joan Halifax, Hoshis Kigaku Noah Rossetter, and Matthew Kozan Palevsky. At Upaya, we are deeply committed to serving you responsibly and with great care.
On this historic election evening, Upaya is opening its Zoom living room to residents and friends all over the world, who wish to join us to bear witness to the US election process on the evening of Tuesday, November 3rd, to practice, to fold in relevant contemporary commentators and ancient sutras, and to watch the mind. Roshi Bernie called “bearing witness practice, which is to sit in the midst of extremely complex conditions and not to turn away from whatever is arising In our personal experience or in our surround. This is an evening that should really be spent together, with our Maha-sangha. Please join us starting at 7:30PM, Mountain Time, and going until it seems appropriate to conclude the evening. We request that you register so we can send password protected links in order to mitigate any issues with the zoom process. Living in a World of Uncertainty
Uncertainty surrounds us at each and every step of our lives. How do you navigate it skillfully with a heart that is steady and responses that are compassionate? This talk will share reflections on this question and intertwine it with the teachings of the Dharma which were designed to help us learn to navigate this continual uncertainty.
This talk will be available to the whole community so if you know anyone who might be interested please share the Zoom link which will be sent out before the talk on the 8th. We hope you will be able to join us!
