Dear Community Leader,

We want you and our entire community to be safe during this election and in the days after – as we know we are facing an unprecedented election cycle. Based on input from the 10K Fearless First Responders, the Black Leaders Collective has compiled suggested guidance for you to consider following. Please see the attachment for the suggested guidelines.

Please be alert. Report any suspicious activity. Don’t go anywhere unnecessarily. Always check your surroundings. Dial 9-1-1 if there is an emergency.

We ask that you share these suggested guidelines with your congregation, organization and friends and family. We ask that you DO NOT POST THIS ON YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA, please.

Threats of violence are real.  On yesterday, a political bus on its way to Pflugerville was the target of violence.  Several of our leaders have received threats. One of the founders of Black Lives Matter released a statement today about being a target of white supremacists.  Here is their statement.

We appreciate your help in taking these proactive steps.

We love you and be safe,
Black Leaders Collective
