This is Laniakea a galactic supercluster comprising about 100,000 galaxies. That red dot you see? That's the Milky Way, which includes 200 to 400 billion stars including our Sun. How incredibly small we are, yet God loves us to the tiniest molecule inside each one of us! He hears our pain, our joys, our losses and our successes. He cares about each one of us. He cares for YOU.

If you feel like it, then let it all out.
Praise our heavenly Lord!
When God reveals his kindness
in a special way,
you just have to raise your arms
and give thanks and praise.
Even if you don’t feel particularly good,
give praise to God anyway.
Many times Scripture shows us how
God’s people overcame challenges
by giving praise.
Even when their backs were
against the wall,
their greatest spiritual weapon was
to praise Almighty God.
When you feel it, do it.
And even when you don’t feel like it,
do it anyway.
God is worthy, and he will respond.
Hallelujah!
All honour, glory and praise to our
Lord Jesus Christ!

Steve's dad, Dr Alan Gibbons, has requested prayer for a returned health issue. In 2012, Alan began suffering from the terrible pain of Trigeminal Neuralgia, and after side effects of pain medication affected his heart and neuro functions, was able to have brain surgery in 2016, which alleviated his pain, and he has been doing very well health-wise until about 10 months ago, when the pain returned.
|
|
|
We would ask that you keep Alan in your prayers, that new medication for pain management will be successful, and allow the elimination of heavy drugs that affect his overall well-being. Please pray for Alan's comfort and ability to cope with this new round of health challenges. He and June have a strong network of prayer warriors already praying - let's join them!

|
Let’s keep on loving each other and supporting those in need.
If you know anyone else who needs or would like prayer,
please send a message to Pr Pablo, Nick, Jess or Marvin.

Supporting Our Parents
How do you first learn to tell right from wrong? Who knows you better than anyone else in the world? For those of us blessed with parents who love and care for us, our moms and dads are our first teachers and our loudest cheerleaders. God's word tells us: "My son, hear the instruction of your father, and do not forsake the law of your mother" Proverbs 1:8.

Fund for Needy Persons (FFNP)
The Greater Sydney Conference runs a charity that gives us the opportunity to provide for those in need.
|
|
|
The aim of the Fund for Needy Persons (FFNP) is to restore independence by helping people get back on their feet again. Funds are used to help resolve the crisis caused by rental or accommodation problems, abuse, unemployment, the illness or death of a family member. The FFNP charity is maintained by the generosity of members who give regularly and when the annual offering is collected.
Contributions to this fund can be made via egiving.org.au/ and search Church Fund for the Needy. Donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible.

ADRA Australia serves humanity so that all may live as God intended
– free from poverty and disadvantage.
|
|
Because of COVID-19, there is no ADRA Appeal door-knock and there is a worry that ADRA will not have the funds needed to maintain the work that they do – work that sustains and supports so many people who are down and out; people that have been abused, neglected, disabled and, without ADRA's help, have little hope for tomorrow.
"I know that God is faithful," says Malcolm Rea, ADRA Director–Greater Sydney. "He has a heart for poor vulnerable people and will touch the hearts of those who feel that that they have been blessed and during this pandemic and have the capacity to give."
Since we are not able to collect face-to-face this year, there may be a creative way for you to raise funds for such a needy cause. Social media has been a great tool during our world crisis - maybe you have a way to use your network and connections? Share on your Facebook or Instagram page a link or video about ADRA Appeal, to encourage your contacts to donate. ADRA’s website allows donations to go where donors want. Select one of the options provided or specify i.e. Macquarie Fields Community Centre. Alternatively, register for an online fundraising event.

Fresh perspectives on practising our faith, Edited by Jarrod Stackelroth
|
|
|
How can the truths expressed Seventh-day Adventist Church’s fundamental beliefs make a practical difference in your life? It's so important to practise our faith, not just believe it! Knowing what you believe is helpful. Living what you believe is transformational!
A collection of 29 contemporary writers from Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific share fresh and relevant, thoughtful and faithful, inspiring and—at times—challenging perspectives that will revive your faith and how you practise it. Each chapter, first published in Adventist Record, includes questions for group discussion or personal reflection.
Ideal for personal reading, youth and small groups, a Bible study or Sabbath school resource or even a baptismal gift.
“Any belief that has value must be lived out in our stories every day. This book challenges us to live God’s story as disciples of Jesus.”—Glenn Townend, President, South Pacific Division
Special offer!
For every 5 of these books you put in your cart, each 5th book will be free!
