Welcome to Issue 11 of DH News: The Daily Howl!
Here we are the day after Howloween and though I left my skeleton costume in the closet this year, there's still much to howl about -- beyond the surging coronavirus numbers and the election to end all elections -- yikes.

Because we're in the throes of fall in New England (the season we think we own, thank you very much), I'm including the tale of The Tree on My Block, which unfortunately, came to a sad end a few years ago. But I still see its stump every day so it's never far from my mind, particularly now when all the other trees are doing their fall thing.
Much to my surprise, I had some actual hammock time on the long weekend in October, at Half Moon Pond State Park in Vermont, so I had to write a short poem about that. The park is near Vermont's newest state park, called the Taconic Ramble, which also features a beautiful and serene Japanese garden also described inside.
I have some updates on some previous stories, including life on Venus, and my orchid, who continues to impress me. And a few bonuses, of course!
