New Membership Applications Now Open!

Do you know a woman who would be a great Junior League of Baton Rouge member? Prospective New Member applications open TODAY, and two sponsors are needed for each Prospective New Member. Members must be at least a second-year Active to be a sponsor and may only sponsor two Prospective New Members per year.

A Prospective New Member completes the application on her own and will need to submit her sponsors' Member ID numbers in her application. Member ID numbers are confidential to each individual member. Do not share your Member ID# with more than two Prospective New Members.

In addition, if you would like to sponsor someone who doesn't know anyone in the league, join the Sponsor Pool. Click here to sign the Sponsor Pool Agreement and to learn more.

DCI Committee Introduces Monthly Moments

The Diversity & Cultural Inclusion committee is proud to announce two new resources to help members gain awareness around diversity, equity, and inclusion issues. Each month, DCI will release a Monthly Moment where there will be reflections on an individual(s) or various cultural differences in our society, and accompanying those reflections will be a list of resources for further research, reflection, and action. To see the Monthly Moment and the resource guide, visit the Diversity & Inclusion page under the “In-League” tab in Digital Cheetah. If you have suggestions on topics for discussion or resources to submit, email diversity@juniorleagugebr.org.

225 GIVES is December 1

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities. 225 GIVES is a 24-hour online giving day for nonprofits across our region. While JLBR has encouraged Giving Tuesday donations to the Endowment in the past, participation in the 225 GIVES event opens JLBR up to incentives and prizes as part of the community-wide event. JLBR has set a goal to raise $10,000 for our general operations during the 24-hour period. If you feel compelled, we encourage members to donate and share the campaign with friends and family. You can even create your own Fundraising Page to make sharing easier! More details to come in the coming weeks.
