Phoenix Nixes Bike Lanes, Loses Million$$
On October 13, the City of Phoenix abandoned plans for bike lanes and pedestrian amenities on Van Buren between 7th and 24th Streets. This disappointing decision, which meant the loss of $2.3 million in Federal funding, was blamed on neighbors' concerns that better infrastructure leads to gentrification. What do you think?

Central Phoenix cyclists know Colter is a leafy east-west route between Camelback and Missouri roads. The City of Phoenix wants your input on a project to add bike lanes and other amenities from 15th Avenue to 20th Street.

Shared Use Path Opens
