Pumpkin Release Wednesday, 11/4

A couple of updates before the next newsletter goes out:

 

PUMPKIN RELEASE

This Wednesday evening is our annual pumpkin release.  Bring your pumpkin,  add a candle (preferably without anything non compostable) and send it afloat from the HR docks or put it in the motor boat where we will take it upstream and release so folks can enjoy the floating parade. .
4:30 - 5:30 kids release
6:00 adult release
Please RSVP -  we need to control the number of people at the ramp and docks.  All visitors must wear MASKS and stay 6ft apart.

 

You may reserve a space on the dock for your family - there are about 4 left,  or you can reserve a spot on the ramp - 4 left-  or you can reserve a kayak and tie up to one of many moorings we will have in the river near the dock.  Email office@holyokerows.org to reserve either a space or a boat.

 

ROWING and KAYAKING

There is still plenty of rowing and kayaking left in the season.  Bundle up and keep going.  As long as the water and air temperatures stay moderate,  we will be out there. Check out the website for days and times for supported rowing. 

 

We are recruiting and teaching beginners all thru November.  - Kaykers, jump in a rowing shell before the season is over.  Text or email me to schedule a lesson.  Our introductory lessons are free.
