Wisconsin Protect Our Democracy Toolkit
People across Wisconsin are turning out in record numbers to vote for leaders who care for us -- and from Milwaukee to Bayfield, we know that every vote counts.
It’s going to take longer to count the votes and verify a winner in this year’s election — and that’s okay. Due to coronavirus and health concerns, more people are voting by mail-in ballots than ever before. And as election officials take the time to make sure every vote is counted, we are planning to show up, virtually or in person, to celebrate our hard work and await election results that count every vote.
HELP US MAKE SURE THAT WE #COUNTEVERYVOTE BY:
- Sign the PLEDGE. Wisconsinites are signing this pledge (sign.moveon.org/p/wicount) calling on our elected leaders to ensure the integrity of our elections and that every vote is counted. When you sign the pledge, we’ll follow up with key information about how to plug into gatherings in your community or online. Sign and share
- REMIND family and friends that Democracy is worth the wait.
- Call on our ELECTED OFFICIALS: To protect the results. Reach out to your elected officials and ask them to pledge (sign.moveon.org/p/wicount) to do everything in their power to ensure that we have a free and fair election and that every vote is counted.
- Sign up to be a STORYTELLER or SPOKESPERSON: We need local leaders in many communities ready to speak to their neighbors, communities, and media. If you’re interested in getting trained and being ready to speak about why we must count every vote, sign up here
- SHOW UP for democracy: No matter what we look like, how much money we make, who we love, or how we worship, every one of us should feel confident that our votes count and our voices are heard.
