WCRF is empowering children to cook healthy food

WCRF is proud to announce Junior Cooks Club – a new partnership with Cook School that gives pupils free hands-on cooking lessons to create easy, nutritious recipes.

WCRF and Cook School came together through our shared belief that it’s never too early to develop healthy habits, and that good food and nutrition play a vital role in enhancing the life-chances of the nation’s children. We want to encourage children to try different food, become familiar with different vegetables and feel more confident in the kitchen.

For us, the ever-growing prevalence of child obesity is a huge concern because children who are overweight or obese are more likely to continue to be so into adulthood, which leads to a greater risk of them developing cancer.

It’s crucial to act now to equip children with life skills for a healthier, happier future.
