Dear Lumen Members and Friends,

We have recently celebrated All Saints Day and All Souls Day. These two days invite us to consider our lives in relation to eternity. Time is short and it flows in one direction. Each day is an opportunity to embrace the path God has in mind for us.  Are we taking advantage of the time God gives us? Are we choosing to love and serve God and neighbor as we should? Prudence is at the center of us answering these questions in the affirmative. Let us together reflect, discuss and strive to live this core value. In the company of the Blessed Mother and all the saints, let us turn to God with confidence asking him to give us the grace to be prudent children of God who lead with the heart of Christ. May God bless you, your families and your deceased relatives and friends.

In Christ,
Fr. Nathaniel Haslam, LC
National Chaplain for the Lumen Institute

LUMEN WASHINGTON DC
Lumen Washington DC Members and Spouses assembled a playground set and prepared and served food for the homeless at the Missionaries of Charity in Southeast DC.  This team effort brought deep joy to the nuns who continue their work in the spirit of their founding saint, Mother Teresa. A special thanks to Mike and Lori Stabolepszy for setting this one up! Click the image to view a brief video of our Lumen Action at work.
REMEMBER THE FORGOTTEN MAN?
by Lumen Member Jason De Sena

We are proud to share with you a recently published article written by Lumen Manhattan member, Jason De Sena, in the Wall Street Journal on October 19, 2020.

Jason is chairman of Strategas, an investment-strategy, economic policy research firm.  His article provides a personal challenge for Lumen Members to remember (and ideally assist) the forgotten men and woman during this pandemic.

We highly recommend you read Jason's insightful article. Click below.
