Another Great Month at Park Middle School Boys & Girls Club

October has been a great month at Boys and Girls Club! We are offering many new club opportunities for students second quarter including Architecture, Leadership and Community Service, Makerspace, Textiles, Basketball, Yoga/Meditation and many more.

We have also made an effort to support students in their classes and to improve grades through academic support in Power Hour.

Boys and Girls Club is excited to welcome many new students this month. We plan to increase opportunities for remote learners to join us through Google Classroom, MyFuture.net and Zoom for Power Hour and BGC clubs. We're looking forward to seeing what else November has in store!

Sincerely,
Kate Sydik
Program Director at Park Middle School

Employee of the Month: Dave Roach!

Dave has been an influential and positive Youth Development Professional (YDP) for the BGC. As an intern this semester, Dave meets with BGC leadership weekly to discuss successes and areas of opportunity. He has worked to lead projects such as weekly grade checks to get our kids off the “missing assignments” list as well as opening/closing checklists. Dave always gives 100 percent. We are glad to have him as part of our team!

Thank You!
Special thanks to Michaels Stores for donating office supplies and art materials for our BGC students and staff to show off their creativity.
