Principal's Corner
Good Morning,
Thank you for your time in meeting with your teachers this week. Communication is so important as we continue through this very different and hectic school year. 28 more school days until we can say goodbye to 2020.
For those of you asking, I am recovering well from my surgery and I start my radiation treatments next week. Catching me during the month of November might be a bit tricky, but I will be available by email and I will be at school as much as I am able. Thank you again for all of your thoughts and prayers.

Pie Fundraiser Pick Up - 11/9
Pies will be available for pick up on Monday, November 9 at 3:00 pm in the area where you normally pick up your child (5th through 8th on Sutter Street & K-4th in the school parking lot - family pies will be with the oldest child).

Morning Daycare
We now have morning daycare beginning at 7:00 am. Our morning daycare is held in the cafeteria and students need to be dropped off at the North cafeteria doors, next to the water fountains. Please do not park and walk your child in. Students are NOT to be dropped at the sidewalk on Sutter Street, Fremont Street or North Street. Due to our new drop off procedures, your child must be in the cafeteria no later than 7:30 am for the safety of your child and to avoid traffic congestion in our parking lot. Extended care rates will apply to students being dropped off in the morning.

Auction News - Plants for Sale
Due to county restrictions, our annual auction dinner was cancelled this year. We have quite a few of the spider plants left for sale. The prices are on the photos. We are offering no contact payment and local delivery. If you are interested, please text JoAnna Machado Perez at 209-815-2256 with your choice. She will then get back to you with payments instructions.

School Shirts - Embroidery
Embroidery orders should be back this week. We are still accepting new orders if you need shirts processed. We will also have used uniforms out next week during parent conferences if you are in need of additional uniforms.

Scrip News
The last day to order scrip to guarantee you will receive your order before Thanksgiving is Friday November 13th by Noon.
Please call the school office at 823-4513, or send an email to scrip@sasmanteca.org to place a scrip order. Remember to include a contact number. Any items we do not have in stock will automatically be put on back order unless otherwise stated by you.

Our annual wreath fundraiser was a success! Thank you to those who have placed their orders to support the Preschool. The wreaths will be delivered at the school the week of November 30th. We will notify you once it is available so you may arrange time for pick up.
If you missed it and were not able to preorder, we got you covered! We have the following extra wreaths available. If you are interested, please email jennifer.dalen@sasmanteca.org to pre-purchase the item and quantity you would like to purchase. They will be sold on a first come first serve basis.

Thank you to all of the parents that made our 1st Trunk and Treat event such a wonderful experience. We couldn't have done it without you! Students and teachers alike had a great time and would love to do it again next year.

Washington DC/NYC March 15-19, 2021

Computers from School
If you have borrowed a school computer for distance learning, please plan to bring it back once your child returns to classroom learning. Computers will not be sent home for students that are home sick unless you anticipate your child will be out more than three days.

This week our yearbook submission topic is your students “FIRST DAY" of School and your COVID-style “SUMMER" - See the attached flyer for further details. Include the word “FIRST DAY or SUMMER” and any other explanation in the Description field. If you have any questions feel free to email us at yearbook@sasmanteca.org. (You can still send us your “COLLECTIONS” and “SPOOKY” photos too.)
The best way for you to share photos for yearbook consideration is through our Herff Jones eShare account. You can either download the app (HJ eSHare) for easy upload or you can upload from a web browser: HJeShare.com and use school code: Roadrunner2021
